Dr. Arvind Chandrasekaran is an Assistant Professor in the department of Bioengineering at the NCAT and is the Director of the BIOME Lab. His research interests are in Immunotherapeutics, Organ-on-Chip engineering, Tissue engineering and Applied Biomicrosystems engineering. 
 
A mechanical engineer by academic qualification (PhD, Concordia University, 2011), Arvind developed his bioengineering expertise working in Dr. Mehmet Toner's lab at the Massachusetts General Hospital, Boston, and took it forward to Drs. Chris Moraes - Jonathan Spicer labs at McGill University, Canada. He has industrial research and development experience in the area of Microsystems engineering and holds a Professional Engineering licence from Alberta, Canada.
